Hip Hop
Hip hop is not just a dance style but a culture that originated on the streets of New York. It is always evolving. In a classic hip hop class, we learn classic basic moves, but also new trends. In total, there are well over 30 sub-styles, which are gradually incorporated into the choregraphies.

Street Style
Street style is about mixing different dance styles that have emerged from different cultural backgrounds - for example, how about a female hip hop choreography with elements from flamenco? Or old school hip hop with movements from vouguing, tutting or house dance?

Contemporary
No style fits the motto "Dancing is Healing" better. - Contemporary dance is not just movement to music, but the telling of a story. The choreographies give a lot of room for interpretation and help to consciously express and process feelings.

Kick'n'Dance
Kick'n'Dance is only available at ELLJOT Bodyworks. The group fitness workout combines kickboxing aerobics with simple dance steps from street dance. In addition to improving stamina, the main aim is to build up muscles and increase the body's flexibility.

TAE BO®/Toso X®
TAE BO or Toso X is a strength and cardio workout from the USA. It combines movements from Asian martial arts with aerobics and was originally developed by the martial artist Billy Blanks. The music is fast, the movements intense, the mind can switch off and the calories tumble without end.

Stretch & Relax
Stretch & Relax combines relaxation exercises from Yin Yoga with effective stretching exercises from dance and martial arts. The class serves as an ideal balance to high-energy workouts and ensures that your body remains flexible and supple.

Online courses
Since I'm on the road a lot, I always try to find time to produce online courses that you can use to break a sweat anytime, anywhere. The first freely available video tutorials can be found here. Currently only in German.
Relaxing Back & Shoulders in the Home Office - The Top 3
For all of us, unfortunately, it is currently #stayathome, #washyourhands and #flattenthecurve. This situation not only puts a strain on our psyche but also on our body. Added to this are bad postures due to working on the sofa. These three exercises relax your back and neck and let you breathe a little easier.
Stretching after jogging - The Top5
Online dance workshops are my main occupation in self-quarantine right now. But I have also rediscovered jogging for myself. Listening to good music, enjoying nature and just being me. If you feel the same way, don't forget these five stretching exercises after your run. Your body will thank you! I speak from my own experience.

About me
My name is Laura, I am 32 and I currently live on the Canary Island of La Gomera. Before that, I spent 8 years in Munich and worked as a fitness and dance instructor as a way to balance with my self-employed marketing consultant job.
My love for everything that has to do with communication and movement has always motivated me to go one step further. It all started in 2013 with TAE BO®/Toso X ® instructor training course. This was followed by several dance lessons and musical workshops, 5 years of singing lessons, a speaker and moderation training course, a hiphop training course in Hamburg, workshops with internationally renowned teachers from Los Angeles, Paris, etc. and 2 years as an assistant dance teacher alongside the dancer and choreographer Isy Viñales from Viñales Performance.
With ELLJOT Bodyworks I would like to share my enthusiasm for the miracle weapon that is the body and create a place where you can try out, develop and really work out - because that gives you strength, charisma, inner satisfaction and is also a lot of fun.

Questions & Answers
A class usually lasts one and a half hours. Every training session starts with a warm-up. With energetic music, you first get your body going with simple basic steps and stretching exercises. Then comes the actual workout. You learn step combinations from kickboxing and street dance, which we combine into an easy-to-learn choreography. This is followed by extensive stretching, strongly inspired by yoga, and a final meditation.
No. Kick'n'Dance is a fitness workout suitable for all levels. The focus is on working out and having fun. Some movements may not work the first time, but if you train regularly, you will see results quickly. 🙂
In classical street dance classes, the focus is often on learning a choreography. Kick'n'Dance is more about stabilising the body's core and helping you to build up the necessary muscles and flexibility for precise execution of the dance steps. So all in all, it's an ideal complement. 🙂
In pure kickbox aerobics or prat training, exercises to increase flexibility are often neglected. Especially the muscles of the upper body and hips shorten quickly and lose their range of motion. Through smooth, undulating movements in Kick'n'Dance, you can make your body more flexible again and still don't have to give up punching. 🙂
